ATO CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD BARAN ATTENDS TURKEY EGYPT THIRD COUNTRY COOPERATION MEETING

February 3, 2026 – Cairo/Ankara – Ahead of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's official visit to Egypt, Gürsel Baran, Chairman of the Board of Ankara Chamber of Commerce (ATO), participated in the "Turkey–Egypt Third-Country Cooperation Meeting" in Egypt, alongside a delegation from the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).

Sharing his reflections on social media, Baran stated: "Together with TOBB President Mr. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and our chamber and commodity exchange leaders, we held the 'Turkey–Egypt Third-Country Cooperation' meeting with Mr. Ahmed Al Wakil, President of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Alaa Ezz, Secretary General, and their accompanying delegation. During the meeting, we discussed ways to strengthen economic and trade relations between Turkey and Egypt, enhance cooperation between the private sectors, and explore mutual investment opportunities. We also evaluated potential joint initiatives in third countries, particularly across Africa, based on business expectations. I believe this meeting will further strengthen ties between the Turkish and Egyptian business communities and lay the groundwork for new collaborations."
