On February 2, 2026, Gürsel Baran, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ankara Chamber of Commerce, attended the "Türkiye–Egypt Chambers and Exchanges Cooperation Forum." The Forum was hosted by the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce and Industry and organized by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, ahead of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's official visit to Egypt.

During the program, which was attended online by Egypt's Minister of Finance, Ahmed Kouchouk, business representatives from both countries evaluated Türkiye–Egypt economic and trade relations and discussed potential areas of cooperation. As part of the program, cooperation agreements were signed among TOBB, the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and the Ankara Chamber of Commerce, along with other chambers and exchanges from both countries, covering the fields of industry, trade, agriculture, fisheries, tourism, logistics, and construction.

The program was also attended by M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of TOBB; Salih Mutlu Şen, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Cairo; Ahmed Al Wakil, President of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce and Industry; and numerous business representatives.
